Congrats to my cousin "Day Day" for tying the knot of eternal love w/ his wife Elaine. They kept it pure, and the Lord most definitely honors those whom honor Him with obedience. This couple is actively involved in ministry, and have a deep rooted understanding of the calling on their lives. Much love to Mr. and Mrs. Doperoy.

JUMPING THE BROOM...LITERALLY.
Congratulations to my big cousin Brian and new cousin Dana for sealing their lives under God last weekend. A very contemporary backdrop at the Lofty Spaces, with KCI and JoJo soothing from the speakers, Brian and Dana shared many laughs and tears before jumping the broom...literally. Brian had the crowd buzzin' with the infamous Binaca spray before the big kiss. What made this experience crazy to me, was the fact that Brian was the one who caught the garter I alley-ooped to the fellas at my wedding reception almost 2 years ago...that thing is real lol!
To Brian & Dana Beckham,
May the grace and love of God be the centerpiece of your eternal bond as one. Allow only HIM to prave the path, pick-up your crosses and diligently follow it together. We are so proud and happy for you, and appreciate you allowing us to share this special moment in your lives.

A PRINCESS IS BORN!
On December 30th, 2010, my wife and I welcomed baby Sarai Ruth Spencer into the world. All I can say is THANK YOU JESUS! Your sacrifice and obedience made it possible for us to experience this moment. You gave your life so that we could help create a life.
Sarai, hebrew origin meaning MY PRINCESS, was the name that was put in my wives spirit months prior to conception. Sarai (later changed to Sarah) was the beautiful wife of the prophet Abram (later changed to Abraham). Abram was a very blessed man (Gen. 12:2-3) and Sarai was considered barren, which hindered her from child bearing. Doctors gave my wife a similar report. Stating that it would be difficult if not impossible for a child to survive in her womb. Well advanced in her age, Sarai was blessed by God and was given a child. She became the mother of nations, kings of people came from her (Gen 17:16). And on December 30th, exactly 3 years and 364 days since the beginning of 'us', a beautiful child is born. "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"
Sarai was born at 5:08pm, weighing 5lbs, 9oz, &17 1/2in long....she is a week old today and doctors are blown away by her rapid growth. She is extremely alert with a personality that will have you in tears. I was surprised we were able to get her out of the hospital, for all the nurses went gaga over Baby Ruth. They had that "I want to take you baby home" look in their eyes.
Wow! I am still blown away! What a way to end a year and start a new. We want to thank our family and friends for their thoughts, visits, gifts, and most importantly prayers. We love you greatly.

MISSIONAIRE
I want to take the time recognize my brother in Christ, Isaiah Allen, for his faithfulness and boldness in spreading the gospel. This weekend, Isaiah and a few of his ministry buddies, traveled to Mexico to provide service to 150 children at an orphanage. They came bearing gifts, smiles, and even freestyles. These young men have been doing some remarkable things in Jesus' name and giving God all of the glory. God has extensive plans for Isaiah and his boys, and this experience adds more fuel to the fire that burns for our Savior.

THE BIG FIVE-0
What an awesome celebration for such an awesome person. We wanted to do it right for my mothers 50th, but the process wasn't easy. Not only is it difficult to plan a surprise party for such a sharp individual, but the fact that she wanted a party and we spent weeks trying to convince her how a party wasn't feasible due to the upcoming birth of her granddaughter. See my mother never had a birthday party, and on top of that she does so much for others and is rarely on the receiving end. It was mandatory that we bless her as she blesses many.
Not only was the game plan executed, she had no clue and was completed shocked. The glowing aura and ear to ear smile the entire night was priceless. The highlight of the night was witnessing the greatness of our Lord and Savior utilizing my mother to reach and uplift others. The testimonies shared by family and friends were deep! Their wasn't a dry eye in the building. The most beautiful thing about it was hearing God attached to everyone's speech, so it was fitting for her cake to be the word of God.

A SHOWER OF BLESSINGS
With the birth of our first child right around the corner, our family and friends orchestrated a shower in honor of our little Sarai Ruth. We were abundantly blessed with many wonderful gifts, you name it she got it. All praises and glory be to God for our wonderful family who has showered us with love.
I have to admit that the baby shower was the first time it really began hit me... I am about to be someones pops! I am responsible for the well-being and rearing of this individual...wow! Proverbs says to train up a child in the way that he SHOULD go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Sounds so simple but yet complex. When my wife and I got married under God, we also made a vow to give our children back to the Him once we became parents. A year and a half later here we are. Chosen to lead and train our daughter. Willing to lay down our lives to make her eternally glad in God and not in things of this world. As we turn the corner and prepare to embark on this assignment, I pray the Lord will equip us with wisdom and knowledge to see His word from His perspective so that we can train the right way.

Welcome to Beckhamville 2010
Nothing can replace family, so I am grateful for every opportunity the Lord gives us to spend time together. Annual Family Reunions have been a tradition in the Beckham Clan since before I can remember. My father has been the head chairman for the past few years, and has been coming up with creative ways to celebrate our unity. This year, we hosted the reunion at Bill Bates Cowboy Ranch in Celina, Texas, where there was plenty of food, fun, and games for all. What an awesome family gathering, looking forward to next year!

A Motherly Touch
There is a popular saying which states; "Behind a great man, theirs a great woman". For that statement is very true, they failed to mention the woman who carried and raised the man... The Mother.
My mother, Deborah Ann Spencer, was born on December 29, 1960. She is the eldest of 5 siblings, raised in a single parent household. Growing up in a neighborhood where poverty was high, drugs were abused, and violence cut lives short. My mother had a dream, and she was determined not to allow her environment to consume her. After graduating from high school, she attend Long Beach State University where she supported herself and breezed through with flying colors. While she was in college, she met some elders in the church who mentored and inspired her throughout her journey. She crossed paths with a sailor from Texas who was stationed in California. At McDonalds, Ira Keith Spencer swept her off her feet and married her a few years later. At the age of 24, she gave birth to a baby boy. She wanted to name him Dominic or Chris, but while she was in the recovery room the proud father couldn't resist and decided to name his son Ira Keith Spencer II. After she recovered, she called the nurse to bring her son little Keith in. The nurse returned with a chocolate complected little girl... "Hold Up"! my mother said. "I gave birth to a son, and his name is Ira Keith Spencer II" she said, "Well, I saw an Ira Spencer but he is a white baby" the nurse replied. "Ummm no that's my son"....Oops lol. So, once the nurse got it right I was united with my mother again, and we have been united ever since.
My mother and I have always had a great relationship. Although she was extremely hard on me growing up and I never understood why, as I got older the more appreciative I was for it. Her wisdom and prayers have molded me into the man I am today, and for that I am ever so grateful. No words can describe her and no one can compare. From working a full time job, to running a household, tending to a daughter with special needs, ministering through ever avenue, serving God and the community, a leader of multiple church groups, a student, and family oriented entrepreneur... She hardly breaks a sweat in this Texas heat. She truly lives with a heart of servitude, and "No Excuses" motto.
We had an awesome conversation today about ministry and our divine purpose which is to serve. People get caught up in thinking that going to church is praising and serving the Lord. For the church is their for fellowship and to sharper iron w/ iron. Serving and building the kingdom, is what takes place after the sermon. Serving is being all things to all people, and providing a need to someone in need. My father made a statement the other night that people are put in your life for two reasons; For them to be a blessing to you, or for you to be a blessing to them. You just never know what someone is dealing with, and who knows your words of encouragement might have just saved there life. I am so fortunate to have been blessed with an amazing God-Fearing family. And I would like to thank my mother for all the tough love, uplifting words of wisdom, and sacrifices she has made for us. I pray I can become half the person you are someday.
STAY BLESSED

Remembering the Great
The last stop before heading back to Texas was one of great significance. In 2006, my brother from another, Mark Hall II, was called home to be with the Lord. Since the service, I hadn't had the opportunity to visit his memorial. I give God all the glory for providing the strength which got me through that tough time, and for giving me peace of mind in knowing that MH is in the hands of his Heavenly Father.
We had the chance to visit with his family a few times while being in SD. Its always a pleasure to hear there voices, see their faces, and reflect on Marks journey. They blessed me with a piece of his shoe collection. I remember us on a daily, logging onto ebay and other popular sites searching for kicks. Finding a size 14 is tough for one person, so just imagine the battle of two 6'8 hoopers, both hunting for 14's, with the same taste... yeah it was rugged, but we got it in though. I know Mark would want me to be the caregiver of his collection and I thank him for that. I love you MH the Great, R.I.P., and I will see you when my earthly mission is accomplished.
STAY BLESSED

IT'S A....
So, since we've been in SD we haven't had the chance to get an ultra sound. The Mrs felt the urge to check on the little one, and find out if it was a he or she. Of course ever man wants a son, a little reflection of ourselves who will carry the last name. My instinct was telling me that it was a boy, and I felt that made perfect sense. This past weekend when we were in Pasadena visiting the fam, I began to have feelings that it may be a girl. Just having my little cousins around me, and watching how they gravitate to me, gave me a glimpse of having a daughter attached to my leg. The night I returned is when I had a dream it was was a girl. So, What Is It?
Okay, so this Mrs found this ultra sound company called A Baby Visit who do 4D scans. I was expecting to walk into a typical doctors office, but to my surprise it was more like a movie theater. The Sonographer began the procedure, it took a while to get the baby to cooperative since he/she was so active. After a about 5 minutes of searching she said "I think its a girl"... You think? Hmmm! I wasn't convinced. She kept looking then said "WAIT... Its A Boy"... "Are you sure" we replied... "Yes, I'm 97% sure"... So I'm juiced, doing the MJ/Kobe fist pump and all that. As we are walking out the front desks owner says, "She is sure its a boy, but we want to be 100% sure... the cord was close to its leg so we want you guys to get to correct answer"... I reply "Yeah we need to know" lol. He asks if we can come back in a couple hours, and for my wife to drink juice to get the baby moving. I am thinking the baby was already hyper and you want to give it more sugar... OK.
So we returned, and this time we brought my cousin Pooh along. We are kicking back watching the flick, and Pooh is just in AWWWW. The Sonographer says "Its still really hard to tell"... I'm like come on little man or woman, but he/she didn't want us to see the privates. She says "Its a girl"... Pooh says "I told you"... I say "We still don't know that" lol. She kept looking and couldn't find evidence to prove otherwise. She told us that is was very hard to tell since its only been 16 1/2 weeks and the baby is so active but she "thinks" its a girl, so thats what we are rolling with. Daddies little girl is in the oven baking. I have 100% faith in knowing that our child will be healthy, beautiful, and filled with a vision from the Lord. Mommy,Daddy, and Jesus loves you so very much!
STAY BLESSED
