With the birth of our first child right around the corner, our family and friends orchestrated a shower in honor of our little Sarai Ruth. We were abundantly blessed with many wonderful gifts, you name it she got it. All praises and glory be to God for our wonderful family who has showered us with love.
I have to admit that the baby shower was the first time it really began hit me... I am about to be someones pops! I am responsible for the well-being and rearing of this individual...wow! Proverbs says to train up a child in the way that he SHOULD go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Sounds so simple but yet complex. When my wife and I got married under God, we also made a vow to give our children back to the Him once we became parents. A year and a half later here we are. Chosen to lead and train our daughter. Willing to lay down our lives to make her eternally glad in God and not in things of this world. As we turn the corner and prepare to embark on this assignment, I pray the Lord will equip us with wisdom and knowledge to see His word from His perspective so that we can train the right way.
WORDS CAN'T EXPRESS HOW HAPPY WE ARE FOR YOU GUYS! WE KNOW THAT BABY SARAI, (LOVE THE NAME) HAS BEEN BLESSED WITH AWESOME PARENTS AND AN AWESOME FAMILY! LOOKS LIKE YOU HAD A BLAST AT YOUR SHOWER...KIND OF BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF OUR FIRST BABY SHOWER, IT WAS A COUPLE SHOWER AS WELL. NATASHA, YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL, GLOWING, MOMMY 2 BE, (LOVE THE SILLY FACES:). WE PRAY FOR ALL THE BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR LITTLE FAMILY AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOUR PRINCESS ONE DAY!MUCH LOVE AND GOD BLESS.

This is really amazing smoove. I have watched you grow from a young man into a godly man. Baby Sarai is blessed to have great parents waiting for her arrival. I am truly thankful to have you and Tasha as people I choose to follow when the time comes for me to settle down and have a family. Its one thing to be a family, but its different when you are a godly family. Stay blessed man and make sure to let me know when baby Sarai arrives!
ReplyDeleteYou all look so happy -that glow of great expectation and divine anticipation. That is the making of great parents. You are so truly blessed in so many ways and you know it! That too is a great blessing. Praise God you were so blessed with the gifts, friends, sweet fellowship to name a few. You were also blessed in that you are living under the roof of such Spiritually Appointed PARENTS! Just follow their great examples and principles - you can't go wrong. Even in their mistakes they taught you lessons of life that have been tried by many wonderful parents (self included!). You have my blessings always. I pass these scriptures to add to the others that I know you have already discovered on the Duties of Parents:
