Who Knew Good Sex Would Cause So Much Sorrow? By: G. Lee Jones

Came across this enlightening write up on my friend Justified's blog. A good friend of his who leads a campus ministry group at Tuskegee University, gives his spill on how unhealthy premarital sex is for the soul. Click the link below and enjoy.

As we watched the sunset at La Jolla Beach, it dawned on me that I am right where the Lord wants me to be.

IT'S A....

So, since we've been in SD we haven't had the chance to get an ultra sound. The Mrs felt the urge to check on the little one, and find out if it was a he or she. Of course ever man wants a son, a little reflection of ourselves who will carry the last name. My instinct was telling me that it was a boy, and I felt that made perfect sense. This past weekend when we were in Pasadena visiting the fam, I began to have feelings that it may be a girl. Just having my little cousins around me, and watching how they gravitate to me, gave me a glimpse of having a daughter attached to my leg. The night I returned is when I had a dream it was was a girl. So, What Is It?
Okay, so this Mrs found this ultra sound company called A Baby Visit who do 4D scans. I was expecting to walk into a typical doctors office, but to my surprise it was more like a movie theater. The Sonographer began the procedure, it took a while to get the baby to cooperative since he/she was so active. After a about 5 minutes of searching she said "I think its a girl"... You think? Hmmm! I wasn't convinced. She kept looking then said "WAIT... Its A Boy"... "Are you sure" we replied... "Yes, I'm 97% sure"... So I'm juiced, doing the MJ/Kobe fist pump and all that. As we are walking out the front desks owner says, "She is sure its a boy, but we want to be 100% sure... the cord was close to its leg so we want you guys to get to correct answer"... I reply "Yeah we need to know" lol. He asks if we can come back in a couple hours, and for my wife to drink juice to get the baby moving. I am thinking the baby was already hyper and you want to give it more sugar... OK.
So we returned, and this time we brought my cousin Pooh along. We are kicking back watching the flick, and Pooh is just in AWWWW. The Sonographer says "Its still really hard to tell"... I'm like come on little man or woman, but he/she didn't want us to see the privates. She says "Its a girl"... Pooh says "I told you"... I say "We still don't know that" lol. She kept looking and couldn't find evidence to prove otherwise. She told us that is was very hard to tell since its only been 16 1/2 weeks and the baby is so active but she "thinks" its a girl, so thats what we are rolling with. Daddies little girl is in the oven baking. I have 100% faith in knowing that our child will be healthy, beautiful, and filled with a vision from the Lord. Mommy,Daddy, and Jesus loves you so very much!

Catching Up W/ The Family Matters.

We wrapped up our weekend with an awesome church service and more quality time with the fam. It's always hard to say goodbye, but on the bright side 3 of my cousins are coming to Dallas in 2 weeks so we will see them then. On the way back to SD, we made a stop in Fontana to catch up with my youth basketball coach and family. I lived in Fontana for a number of years and created a lot of great memories. Fontana was the place where I began to fall in love with the game of basketball, spending countless hours in the backyard hooping while the neighbors yelled " It's 2 o'clock in the morning, can you please stop playing" from their balcony. Coach Segovia was my basketball coach, and his faith filled spirit mixed w/ competitive character was definitely instilled in us. In middle school, he and his family wanted to "adopt" me for a few months in the beginning of the 2nd semester so that I could finish the basketball season prior to moving to San Diego. Of course my parents shut down that proposal and only allowed 2 weeks... MEMORIES! Being able to sit and talk with loved ones is something that is dear to my heart. Catching up with the fam brings out all those stories which make you laugh so hard you cry.

High School Hoops Reunion

Its reunion time for all the former Eastlake basketball players. A night of reminiscing on those epic moments, laughing at all the silly ones, and catching up on those we've missed. As I reflect on my years of being a high school baller at EHS, I can't help but to remember all the times I acted a fool. Whether it was getting into fights (on the court & in the classrooms) or just being a flat out jerk, disciplinary action was something I was familiar with. Listening to the stories from the younger guys, as they expressed punishment periods for getting out of line, just made me respect Coach even more. Ever since my sophomore year when we won CIF, Eastlake has built a winning tradition on playing team basketball. Coach Estrada never stressed "winning". He stressed the importance of developing the fundamentals of being a better person, and winning will come from being discipline. When we did wrong there were consequences, plain and simple. Coach didn't care if you lead the league in scoring, if you were a college prospect with scouts in the stands, or if you were pro bound. He treated all of his players equally and he never sacrificed his integrity or policies for anyone or any game. I have to say I am a better person for it, and I give God the glory for working through people. Lord knows what I need better than I know. Having the opportunity to spend time with my Titan fam was a blessing, and I would like to thank the Estrada's for the hospitality.
STAY BLESSED

A few CIF Champs. Wade, Bryan, Berenice(team manager), myself, & Troy. Curtis and Carlo took off a little earlier, I send them a shout out along with the other players who couldn't make it... King, Eddie, Julius, Dom, Tim Mag, Peter, Tim Ross, Oscar, along with all the coaches who made that experience possible.

One word to describe this group "comedy". Derek, "Bosco", Noel, Berenice, Ben, Alex, & Coach Estrada.

A few of the younger Titans. Jordan is playing football at Butler, Freddy, Marco, & Kenny.

Kenny is set to ball at Fresno Pacific in the fall, and Marlon just finished his collegiate career at Biola making his way to the pros.

My boy Kareem and I. He is currently playing pro in Mexico, and he is doing damage. I've always seen something special in this young man, and his game continues to elevate.

Coach has got the ultimate players pad for the ballers. When I grow up I wanna do it like this!

Incredible Day

Wednesday was my play niece's 6th birthday, and today we celebrated this special moment with her and her family. We went to John's Incredible Pizza, and according to The Mrs, the pizza was nothing short of that. Enjoying hours of fun filled games always brings that child like spirit out of me. Kimora is a highly intelligent little girl with the future bright as a star. We are grateful and thankful to be apart of her life. We wish her many more INCREDIBLE BLESSEDdays!

Her aim was on point.

She was getting buckets!

Her pops Ronnie and I, couldn't help but to get in on the action.

I am able to walk now, PRAISE GOD! If it wasn't for this aircast I would have been running around like a toddler.

Since I couldn't run... I am just gonna ride.

Counting her earnings. She came up on a little over 2G's... not bad for a few hours of work.
