On December 30th, 2010, my wife and I welcomed baby Sarai Ruth Spencer into the world. All I can say is THANK YOU JESUS! Your sacrifice and obedience made it possible for us to experience this moment. You gave your life so that we could help create a life.
Sarai, hebrew origin meaning MY PRINCESS, was the name that was put in my wives spirit months prior to conception. Sarai (later changed to Sarah) was the beautiful wife of the prophet Abram (later changed to Abraham). Abram was a very blessed man (Gen. 12:2-3) and Sarai was considered barren, which hindered her from child bearing. Doctors gave my wife a similar report. Stating that it would be difficult if not impossible for a child to survive in her womb. Well advanced in her age, Sarai was blessed by God and was given a child. She became the mother of nations, kings of people came from her (Gen 17:16). And on December 30th, exactly 3 years and 364 days since the beginning of 'us', a beautiful child is born. "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"
Sarai was born at 5:08pm, weighing 5lbs, 9oz, &17 1/2in long....she is a week old today and doctors are blown away by her rapid growth. She is extremely alert with a personality that will have you in tears. I was surprised we were able to get her out of the hospital, for all the nurses went gaga over Baby Ruth. They had that "I want to take you baby home" look in their eyes.
Wow! I am still blown away! What a way to end a year and start a new. We want to thank our family and friends for their thoughts, visits, gifts, and most importantly prayers. We love you greatly.
The pictures totally represent your story...another flavor add to your blessed life. How great is our God. Totally enjoying with you from across the ocean. Big hug for Sarai and you guys. With love Natasja

ReplyDeleteOMG! We've been waiting for this post!:) We hadn't seen a recent post from Keith in awhile so we kind of thought she had arrived...Alton knows all too well how the little women in your life can keep all of your attention, Keith!:) Enjoy! You all are truly living the blessed life! Alton and I just knew you would be great parents when you informed us of your expectancy. We also warned you that after being around the Mason entourage...most become pregnant soon after. :)Lol! Its literally happened to 3 other couples that we know, before meeting you 2 and we are still very good friends with them as well. What a blessing! Words can't express how very, very happy we are for you and we are also grateful to God for you.:) We just adore the biblical relation to her name and the history behind it. What a great vision God put upon you Natasha! We are so happy to hear how happy and healthy she is, what a joy! Ruth is/was my grandmother's middle name as well...she passed away almost 3 years ago this summer of cancer, but let me tell you...she was a saint honey! She got saved at the age of 13, married at 16, had 7 children and 1 foster child(she never referred to him as that). I can't ever remember a negative moment that involved her and she was loved and praised by all. She was the ultimate housewife, but also handled her business. Let me tell ya! She influenced me as a Godly woman to become the infamous "virtuous woman" I claim to be.;)We just know that Sarai Ruth has a very promising future ahead of her because of all the love and prayerful warriors she is surrounded with. I could go on and on because we're so happy for you!:) Our girls are already talking about holding and kissing her. Wow, what a difference a year makes. We really hope to get together with you all again in the very near future, and if there is anything at all that you need or we can do, please don't hesitate to let us know. You have a family of babysitters in AZ for sure, so if you ever need a vacay, come our way!:)Congrats, much love and many, many blessings!:)
