A week ago, some
Xrossover partners and I had an amazing opportunity before us. This opportunity gave us free rain to train the
University of Texas-Arlington's Movin' Mavs wheelchair basketball team. Okay, this was no charity case. These athletes were tough and got it in to the fullest! Their skill level was at a high level, and they were focused more than some able body athletes we have trained in the past. This experience was humbling, allowing us to walk through a door we never knew we could.
As I trained and talked to the athletes, you can see the faith they proudly express. Not wanting pity, but wanting to be challenged even the more. Viewing their disability as a blessing rather than a hindrance.
We are looking forward to supporting and working w/ Movin' Mavs in the future.
