A Desire to be known as More than an Athlete
The electrifying defensive back Charles Woodson, has made his mark on the football field... but this former Heisman Trophy recipient wants be recognized as more than a football player, Woodson is on a mission to leave his mark as a symbol of hope to help others. At church this morning, the Pastor was discussing the importance of giving and prayer. He made a statement that your money is partially tied to your heart, and what you give displays where your heart is. Woodson took it upon himself to sow into pediatric research, which shows that his heart lies within well-being of children. This article shares the hopes of attracting the world's best researchers who want to help children with cancer, heart disease, kidney disorders and autism. That statement immediately jumped out at me because my younger sister and brother-in-law are both autistic. It really shows the magnitude of the matter, and I pray that Woodson's profitable donation is put to great use.

One of the tenants in the Crown Financial Ministries is that how/where we steward our financial gifts is an indication of our heart's desires. It's always a blessing to see people giving back in a positive manner. :)
